Meet your teachers

Barry Drummond

We are delighted to be joined by Barry Drummond, who trained at the Royal Ballet Upper School before dancing with the English National Ballet for ten years. During his time with the company, he performed notable works by Akram Khan, Pina Bausch, and John Neumeier, alongside principal and soloist roles in ballets by Kenneth MacMillan, William Forsythe, and Christopher Wheeldon.

Barry later went on to pursue a career in Musical Theatre and has appeared in West End productions including My Fair Lady and the international tour of Singin’ In The Rain. He is currently performing in the world tour cast of Moulin Rouge! The Musical.

Alongside his performing career, Barry also works as an exercise rehabilitator and movement therapist. He is trained in Clinical Pilates, Functional Range Conditioning, Strength and Conditioning, and Yoga, bringing a deeply informed and holistic approach to movement, strength, and dancer wellbeing.

Barry also offers an additional one-to-one movement and mobility assessment, accompanied by a bespoke exercise programme tailored to your individual needs and goals. Ideal for anyone experiencing pain, discomfort, restricted movement, or simply looking to improve strength, mobility, and overall physical capability (subject to availability and additional cost).

hannah collier

We’ll also be joined by Hannah Collier, an amazing certified Progressive Ballet Technique (PBT) instructor, ballet teacher, and chartered physiotherapist. Hannah works both within the NHS and privately, specialising in dancer health, rehabilitation, and strength training, alongside running her own adult ballet fitness classes.

Currently completing her APPI Pilates training, Hannah is passionate about helping dancers build strength, stability, and confidence through informed, supportive movement practice. During the retreat, she will lead energising morning PBT sessions as well as a restorative stretch and relaxation class designed to support recovery and wellbeing throughout the weekend.
